I have never intended to recreate my dreams in photographs, as this would feel pointless to me. What draws me to dreams is their detachment from reality, their fluidity and blurred boundaries, and my photographs often touch on those qualities. I capture scenes I have never witnessed but have imagined a thousand times. Moments of fear, hope and emotion that I wish to relive, just to let them go. In many ways, it is a therapeutic pursuit.
These images are not created to please anyone. They are pages from a private diary of my own journey.
Technically, I work with simple studio lighting, long and multiple exposures, on-camera Cokin filters, various found or improvised objects, and a subtle touch of post-production to shape the final image.
